Accreditation

Clinical laboratories in the United States must meet federal standards under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). LabX holds CLIA certificate 10D2067145, which you can verify through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services CLIA laboratory search. The laboratory is also accredited by COLA (24755), an independent organization that inspects laboratories against quality standards.

LabX and Vantage

Vantage is the at-home testing brand of LabX Diagnostics. Vantage kits are processed by LabX Diagnostic Systems, the same CLIA-certified, COLA-accredited laboratory, so an at-home sample is tested under the same standards as samples from clinics and employers.

How your sample is handled

When a kit arrives at the laboratory it is logged against its kit barcode so the sample can be matched back to your order without relying on names alone. Urine drug samples go through specimen validity testing — pH, specific gravity, creatinine and oxidants — which shows whether a sample is genuine and undiluted before a negative result is treated as meaningful. If a sample cannot be tested, for example because it leaked, arrived too late or was collected incorrectly, it is reported as not testable rather than guessed at, and customer service will explain the options. Drug confirmation uses LC-MS/MS, the laboratory's definitive method, and each compound is reported against the cut-off printed on the signed report.

How results are delivered

Results are released only to your secure LabX account. Notification emails and texts say a result is ready and never contain the result itself. Drug test results include an interactive report and the signed laboratory report as a PDF.

Privacy and public health reporting

LabX handles health information under HIPAA. Like every clinical laboratory, LabX is required by law to report positive results for certain notifiable infections to the state health department. Those reports are confidential and protected by law, and they are not shared with employers or insurers.

What we test

LabX offers a 12-panel drug test on urine or fingerstick blood, with optional laboratory confirmation of all 76 compounds on the confirmation panel by LC-MS/MS, plus testing for employers and clinics.

What we do not do

• We do not diagnose, prescribe or treat. Always review results with a licensed physician.
• At-home collection is not a chain-of-custody forensic test.
• The drug confirmation panel does not test for GHB, Rohypnol or scopolamine.
• At-home kits and drug tests are not currently available to addresses in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, California.
