What does the 12-panel screen test for?

Urine: cocaine, THC, alcohol (ETOH), PCP, 6-MAM (heroin), amphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, fentanyl, methamphetamine, opiates and oxycodone. A screen is presumptive: it reacts to a family of drugs. Confirmation adds $89 and tests your sample for 76 specific drugs by LC-MS/MS (liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry), identifying each compound by name whether or not the screen flags anything. Urine with confirmation is $178; blood with confirmation is $188.

How do I get my results?

This panel uses both — a urine sample and a small blood sample, collected the same day and returned together.

Collect Monday to Thursday — never on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. Couriers do not move samples over a weekend, and a sample that sits too long has to be collected again.

The 76-drug confirmation includes many drugs that have been used to spike drinks: sedatives such as alprazolam (Xanax), clonazepam (Klonopin, as its breakdown product), lorazepam (Ativan), nordiazepam (from diazepam, Valium), oxazepam and temazepam; zolpidem (Ambien); ketamine; MDMA; opioids including fentanyl; xylazine; the muscle relaxant carisoprodol (Soma); and ETS, a marker of recent alcohol.

It does not test for GHB, Rohypnol (flunitrazepam) or scopolamine. Many of these drugs leave urine within hours to a few days — GHB within about 12 hours — so collect your sample as soon as you can.
